Okmok Volcano continues to erupt. Over the last 24 hours, activity at Okmok has diminished. Seismicity has changed from nearly continuous volcanic tremor to a more episodic character, and over the last several hours, the overall seismic intensity has declined. The most recent satellite imagery indicates little or no ash, however weather clouds may be obscuring an ash signal.

Long time coming….
Well it’s been a while since I’ve posted here last. Life has been absolutely insane the last few weeks. I got finished up at State and started back to work and have running 60+ hour weeks since. Today is actually the first day I’ve had off in about 2 weeks. On the 29th I’ll be headed out to Seattle for a few days which will be great. I’ll make sure to send back alot of updates while I’m there. Well back to it! I’ll have some new material posted soon!
A reflection on the past 26 yrs…
Tonight I sit in front of the computer staring down the barrel of my 27th birthday. (Tomorrow) So I take a few moments to reflect on the years of my life and trying to figure out how in the world I ended up where I am. I still don’t have it figured out but I know the Lord has a plan for my next 27 years. Thanks to him for getting me this far and for all the ones to come!
A request…
To all of those who pray please keep me in your prayers. Due to the lack of math classes available at my school my potential transfer date to State was pushed back some time. However on friday after talking to my Geology professor he expressed intrest in helping me possibly obtaining a waiver to get me in sooner. Right now he’s feelings things out but I might possibly have the chance to go to NCSU full time early if this pans out. Please pray the Lord’s will be done in this situation!
Thoughts…
I’m sitting here in the Natural Reasources Library on the last day of my first week here at NCSU. The week has flown by and I’m already dreading the move back to Sandhills this fall. I really love it here and I look forward to the day that I transfer here permanently. Little else to report, I’m waiting for my class to get started and afterwards I’ll head south back to West End. In my last posting I didn’t have time to post a new and snappy quote so I will post one today!
On the subject of wisdom a wiseman once said: “A wise man can see more from the bottom of a well than a fool can from a mountain top.”
Wrap your head around that! I’m out!
Been away a few days…
It’s been a few days since I last posted here. I’m staying with an aunt and uncle up in Raleigh while I’m going to my classes at State. The first day of lecture was on monday and the lab was yesterday. Both went well and I am adjusting to the size of the campus. Monday I spent most of the day lost while trying to find everything I needed. Raleigh too is a bit confusing but I’m starting to find my way about. Friday after I get out of class I’ll be headed back down to West End where I have an overnight shift to work this weekend. Unfortunately I don’t have a snappy quote or thought for today but I will in my next post.
